Lacy Little Bag

For the past two weeks, I have been trying to make this adorable lace lamp.  Unfortunately, the lamp didn't hold it's shape after I popped the balloon inside of it.  I spent so much time trying to make the lamp, and because I didn't want the adorable lace to go to waste, I made a little makeup bag out of it.  It worked perfectly because the mod podge I used to previously make the lamp turned the lace hard and a little stiff, almost like oilcloth.  I cut up the lamp and made a bag out of it.  If you want to make the same bag, here is a link to the instructions.

Cheetah Eyes

Skull T-Shirts

To make this skull shirt, you will need a big white t-shirt and scissors.  Cut holes for the skull's eyes, nose, and mouth.  And to customize your shirt even more, you can cut the sleeves off, lower the neck line, and cut the bottom of the shirt shorter.  Looks cute with a black tank top underneath!

Macrame Bracelet

This weekend my sister and I made macrame bracelets!!  They don't take too much time and are really fun and easy to make.  You could buy leather cord at a store like Michael's.  If you want to learn how to macrame, click here for a tutorial!  (and if you can't tell, the macrame bracelet is the grey and purple one)

Portrait of a Girl

Here's a speeded up video of my cousin drawing a portrait of a girl.  The markers are Prismacolors and Copics and the lineart pens are Faber Castelle.  Her deviantart accout is WickyW.  Enjoy :)

Cinnamon Sugar Muffins

The full recipe for these delicious muffins can be found here.  We made them in small muffin tins so that you can eat 4 and not feel guilty :) They taste more like donuts holes than muffins!

Updated Bulletin Board

how to update your old bulletin board
so it will look like this ↓

               Step #1:
get some cute fabric that will go with your room
and obviously you'll need a bulletin board

                 Step #2:
Take a butter knife (try to use one that you don't care about too much because it will get a little bent)
and shove the fabric into the edge of the frame part.  It's a little tricky but easy once you get a hang of it.

                Step #3:
Now you're done with the hard part!  Hang it or lean it against a wall and decorate it
with pics or cards.  Voila! You're done!!

The Weekend

Warm peanut butter cookies!

Blown Easter eggs laying in moss.

This weekend we got a really nice new sewing machine!  I made a little sweatshirt
for one of my stuffed animals in only 5 minutes.

Tutorial and Clay Animals

I found this really great tutorial on deviantART by Wickyw.  I don't know about you, but I always have trouble with shading and drawing faces and hair.   Here's a link to the page!  She also made mini clay animals which are adorable!

Gnome Terrariums

SUPPLIES:

■ Glass Jar
■ Small rocks or black sand
■ Fake Moss
■ Clay for the gnomes and mushrooms

(we don't recommend using real dirt or moss, we used it once and it got moldy)

TIP- if you want it to look snowy, try shaking a little baby powder in the jar, it's perfect for winter!

Updated Candle Votive

This weekend I got this really cool tape called Kamoi.  It comes in a bunch of cute patterns and colors.  I updated an old candle votive by wrapping the tape around the glass.  I love how it looks glowing in the dark!

Needle Felted Llama

Today I was driving to the beach and I saw a llama. Isn't it cute?

It inspired me to needle felt one...
